Tungsten carbide threaded rod can be divided into two types: external thread and internal thread. External thread is relatively easier to process than internal thread. External thread can be processed by grinding. After tungsten carbide rods being formed in shape, the external thread can be molded and then be grinded and processed to achieve a series of size requirements. Internal thread can be processed through electrosparking, and after tungsten carbide rods take shape, cavity can be formed. After that, unipolar electrospark is used to process internal thread.

To process threads on tungsten carbide rods will take up a lot of time and cost, so if there is no special purpose, it is generally not recommended.
