The lever-type clamping structure of tungsten carbide indexable turning tools is the most commonly used clamping structure at home and abroad, in which the blade is clamped to the toolbar according to lever principle. When the operator turns the screw, the clamping force will be produced through the lever, and then the blade will be located in the cutter groove side. When the operator removes the screw, the blade will be loosened, and the semicircular cylinder-shaped leaf spring can keep the shim position still. In this structure, due to the leverage, the blade can get acting force in horizontal direction during clamping, which can press one side of the blade onto the side of cutter groove. Through this, the blade can be tightly clamped.

The characteristics of lever-type clamping structure of tungsten carbide indexable turning tools: high location precision, firm clamping, reasonable stress, convenient in use, poor manufacturability. It is more suitable for mass production.
