Molybdenum Concentrate Transaction Prices - May 10, 2024

The overall situation of the Chinese molybdenum market is relatively good. Influenced by various factors, the intense price bargaining between buyers and sellers is prominent. Suppliers are keen on holding prices, while buyers have a lower willingness to accept high prices, resulting in moderate market turnover.

In the molybdenum concentrate market, transaction prices continue to rise, currently around 3,800 yuan per ton. Recently, a mining company in Henan and Hunan province conducted a tender sale of molybdenum concentrate with a base price ranging from 3,750 yuan to 3,800 yuan per ton.

In the molybdenum iron market, prices are generally under pressure. Due to the contradictory factors of rising molybdenum raw material prices and strong price pressure from steel companies, molybdenum iron prices have passively risen. However, in recent days, some steel companies such as Panzhihua Iron and Steel, Qingshan Holdings Group, Jiangsu Delong Nickel Industry, and Baosteel have also seen a slight increase in prices in a new round of molybdenum iron tendering.

In the molybdenum chemical and its products market, the atmosphere for purchasing and selling is flat. End customers mainly adopt a demand-driven purchasing strategy, while supplier prices have slightly increased with the fluctuation of raw material prices. Today, the prices of ammonium molybdate and molybdenum powder have been adjusted to around 234,000 yuan per ton and 458 yuan per kilogram, respectively.

Regarding news, Ji Xiang Stock achieved revenue of 7.505 billion yuan in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 6.29%. However, the net profit attributable to shareholders was -337 million yuan, a decrease of 168.52% year-on-year. The basic earnings per share were 0.65 yuan. At the end of the reporting period, the total assets were 3.915 billion yuan, a decrease of 14.11% compared to the previous year. Among them, the company's molybdenum product business achieved revenue of 5.707 billion yuan, an increase of 25.21% over the previous year.
