Generally speaking, the weight of hard dart most people use (dart body) is 22 to 24 grams. The weight of soft dart (whole dart) is not more than 20 grams. A hard dart body is heavier 2 grams than a whole soft dart. To the dart veteran, feeling is very important. If used to using hard dart, soft dart would feel like throwing toy dart. Of course, practicing for a while may get you back, but it still has big difference in the feel. There is no such situation if the hard dart usual used is lighter or even the same weight as soft dart’ weight. In addition, the hard dart noise is relatively small, while some people say that hanging soft target at home is much noisy, especially at night.
