Cs Doped Tungsten Oxide Nanoparticles Applied for Building Energy-saving Film

Cs doped tungsten oxide nanoparticles for building energy-saving film can be prepared by solvothermal reaction. Wherein, Cs doped tungsten oxide nanoparticles are also known as cesium tungsten bronze (CsxWO3) nanoparticles. According to the study, some experts have synthesized homogenous CsxWO3 and cesium doped molybdenum trioxide (Cs0.33MoO3) powder by solvothermal reaction using (NH4)10H2(W2O7)6, H8MoN2O4 and Cs2CO3 aqueous solution followed by annealing. And they deposited the nanocomposite films of CsxWO3 and Cs0.33MoO3 by sol-gel bar-coating method onto PET-film (thickness 186㎛) substrate.

The experts observed the structure and sizes of particles by XRD and PSA spectrometer, and investigated the optical properties of their films by UV-VIS, NIR spectrometer. The results showed that the synthesized particles typically formed cubic structure for good absorption of NIR, size observed as being 30-100 nm and  nanoparticles showed a high transmittance in the visible wavelength region as well as excellent shielding capability of near-infrared (NIR) wavelength, indicating that CsxWO3, Cs0.33MoO3 nanoparticles have an appropriate characteristic as building energy-saving film applications.
