Cesium tungstate is Cs0.33WO3 nanopowder, which is well-known as an important new functional material. According to the experts, Cs0.33WO3 nanoparticles have excellent visible light transmittance and infrared absorption rate, so it has broad application prospects in the production of transparent heat insulation coating. And the prepared coating is highly transparent for applying to the glasses of the buildings and cars. It is reported that the Cs0.33WO3 powder can be synthesized by carbothermal reduction method with H2WO4 and Cs2WO3 as precursor materials. The optimum heat treatment conditions of the Cs0.33WO3 particles are 700°C for 5 hours on the basis of their crystallite size and compositions. The particle size reduced up to 100nm by wet ball milling treatment for 1h with ZrO2 grinding beads of 50 μm in diameter.
