Cesium tungsten bronze for preparing transparent heat-insulation coating is also known as CsxWO3, which can be prepared by a sol-gel method. For example, some experts prepared CsxWO3 nanopowder by such a method, and systematically studied the effects of dispersant, calcination temperature and the ratios of n(Cs) to n(W) on the crystal phase, morphology, average size and optical properties of cesium tungsten bronze powder.

The CsxWO3 powders were characterized by thermal gravimetric analyzer (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and UV/VIS/NIR spectrophotometer. And the expert found that Cs0.3WO3 powder could be prepared with complete crystal form, good dispersibility and near-infrared shielding performance under the following preparation conditions: PEG-600 as dispersant, calcination temperature of 600 °C, and n(Cs): n(W) = 0.33:1. The visible light transmittance of the CsxWO3 coating is more than 80% and the near infrared shielding rate is about 70%.
