Near-infrared Shielding Material: Cesium Tungsten Bronze Nanopowder

Cesium tungsten bronze nanopowder, CsxWO3 nanopowder, as a near-infrared shielding material, exhibits a superior near-infrared shielding performance as it not only has a high visible light transmittance, but also can shield near-infrared light with wavelength greater than 1000 nm. Well, do you know any of the widely known near-infrared shielding nanomaterials?

Currently, in addition to cesium tungsten bronze nano particles, the more well-known near-infrared shielding nanomaterials include precious metal (Ag, Au, etc.) particles, rare earth hexaborides (such as LaB6, PrB6, NdB6) and semiconductor oxides (ATO, ITO, etc.). However, the transmittance of precious metal particles in the visible light region is low. The hardness of the rare earth hexaboride is large, and it must be ground during the preparation process. While the semiconductor oxide is relatively stable with high transmittance in the visible light region, but they can only effectively shield part of the near-infrared rays (wavelengths greater than 1500nm). Therefore, it is believed that cesium tungsten bronze has the best near-infrared shielding performance among the widely known near-infrared shielding nanomaterials.
