Violet Tungsten Oxide Applied for Infrared Shielding Material

Violet tungsten oxide for infrared shielding material is also known as W18O49 or WO2.72. According to the experts, such an infrared shielding material can be a near-infrared shielding film, which transmits visible light, and at the same time, effectively shields invisible near-infrared rays with a wavelength of 780nm or above. So, how to prepare an infrared shielding material using W18O49 as a raw material?

A certain amount of a tungsten compound was weighed, heated at 550 °C for 1 hour in a reducing gas atmosphere, and once returned to room temperature, and then heated in an argon atmosphere for 1 hour to obtain W18O49 powder. The prepared W18O49 powder, a solvent, and a dispersant are then mixed and subjected to a dispersion treatment to obtain a dispersion. Next, the dispersion and the ultraviolet curable resin for the hard coating were mixed to prepare an infrared shielding material particle dispersion liquid. Finally, the infrared shielding material particle dispersion liquid is coated on a PET resin film and formed into a film to be cured, thereby obtaining a near-infrared shielding film.
