Nano cesium tungsten bronze for nano heat insulating film can be prepared by water molecular controlled-release solvothermal process (WCRSP process) --- a new facile method to synthesize CsxWO3 nanorods possessing excellent NIR shielding ability.

Synthesis of Homogeneous Cesium Tungsten Bronze Nanopowder by WCRSP Process
The mixture of WCl6 ethanol solution and CsOH ethanol solution, together with desired amount of CH3COOH was introduced in a Teflon-lined autoclave and heated at 200°C for 20h. At high reaction temperature, the water is released from etherification reaction between ethanol and acetic acid gradually. Then, the hydrolysis of WCl6 was carried out by catching the released water molecular to form the WO3. After that, the homogenous CsxWO3 nanoparticles were produced in the presence of CsOH. Since the grain growth and the agglomeration of the metal oxide particles synthesized in ethanol are much lower than those in aqueous solution, the WCRSP process seems to be important to generate the well dispersed cesium tungsten bronze with uniform particle size. In addition, the CH3CH2OH acts as reductive substance to insure the formation of reduced-type tungsten bronze compound.
