In 2007, some experts adopted high temperature solid phase reaction method to prepare various tungsten oxide and MxWO3 (M=Rb, Cs) tungsten bronze, and studied the transmission spectrum of the film. The research showed that all kinds of tungsten bronze films have strong absorption of near infrared light while ensure the passage of visible light. And the experts proposed that cesium tungsten bronze has near-infrared shielding performance for the first time, which is expected to be used as a smart window in the construction and automotive fields. Recently, some experts have prepared CsxWO3 by solvothermal synthesis method. The transmission spectrum of the film has been studied. The results showed that the film also has good near-infrared shielding performance and is expected to replace the existing ITO glass.
