F-doped Cesium Tungsten Bronze Applied for Ceramic Microsphere

F-doped cesium tungsten bronze may be applied for preparing ceramic microsphere, and then be used to produce thermal insulation film with high transparency. Experts observed fluorine-doped cesium tungsten bronze (CsxWO3-yFy) and undoped cesium tungsten bronze (CsxWO3) by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to study their microstructure. The figure below is TEM images of F-doped cesium tungsten bronze with different HF addition amount. Wherein, (a), (b), (c), and (d) are undoped CsxWO3, CsxWO3 sample of F=0.11, CsxWO3 sample of F=0.45, and CsxWO3 sample of F=0.79, respectively.

It can be seen that for the undoped CsxWO3 sample, most of the crystals belong to agglomerated irregular nanoparticles. For the F-doped CsxWO3 sample, CsxWO3 samples with HF addition of F=0.11 showed some rod-like crystals; moreover, the proportion of these nanorods with a diameter of about 20nm gradually increased with the increase of HF addition. And F=0.79 samples were obtained with uniform nanorod morphology, which indicates that HF is likely to promote the formation of F doping cesium tungsten bronze nanorods.
