According to experts, the principle of electrochromic devices is mainly based on redox reactions. When a voltage is applied, one electrode is oxidized and the other electrode is reduced, similar to the mechanism involved in lithium batteries. Wherein tungsten oxide electrochromic material undergoes a color change due to the redox reaction. In electrochromic devices, the electrolyte mainly provides conductive ions for the two electrodes, which is an indispensable component.
