WO3-PEO electrochromic thin film can be prepared by the following two major processes. First, prepare the sol, and then prepare the doped electrochromic film. The specific steps are as follows.

1.0 Preparation of sol: The tungsten powder and hydrogen peroxide are reacted in a certain ratio, and the lower layer precipitate is filtered off, and then an appropriate amount of absolute ethanol, glacial acetic acid, and PEO are added, stirred uniformly, and sealed for use.
2.0 Preparation of doped electrochromic film: Place a 3cm×8cm ITO conductive glass in a beaker containing a cleaning agent, cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner, and dried for use. The dried and clean substrate was immersed in the above prepared sol at a constant rate and allowed to stand for 1min. The substrate was pulled up vertically at a pulling speed of 4mm/s, dried, placed in a muffle furnace, heated to 200°C for 2h under a nitrogen atmosphere, and then naturally cooled to obtain the desired product.
