The WO3 nanosheets can exhibit excellent electrochromic properties is due to the porous structure between the nanosheets and good contact with the conductive substrate, making ion diffusion easier and providing a larger active surface area for charge transfer reactions. The response time of coloring and bleaching is 5.2s and 2.2s, respectively. The difference in visible light transmittance between the colored state and the bleached state can reach 62%, the coloring efficiency is 55.6cm2V/C, and good stability is maintained after 3000 cycles. As you may have known, tungsten trioxide is the most widely researched electrochromic material. And it will be more and more widely applied in building glass for high transparency, high heat insulation and high heat preservation in the future.
