Experts said that the chemical precipitation method can be used to produce tungsten trioxide nano particles with a particle size of about 100nm. And the tungsten trioxide nano particles can effectively be reduced in a mixed atmosphere of 300-600°C and H2/N2 to produce WO3-x (2≤x≤3) with a stable Magneli phase. Since a large amount of free electrons are generated on the surface of the tungsten oxide, strong absorption of light in the near-infrared band of 1400-1600nm and 1900-2200nm is generated. With the increase of x, the absorption also will be strengthened. In addition, after high-temperature reduction treatment, the tungsten oxide nano particles are formed into rods from the original irregular particles, that is, the microscopic morphology thereof has undergone a large change.
