Generally, the transparent resin is selected from acrylic, polyurethane, and silicone resins to form a transparent film layer. However, there have been few studies on film-forming materials for transparent glass coatings. So, the properties of film-forming materials are critical to the application of transparent heat-insulating coatings. The film-forming material needs to have high transparency, high hardness, good adhesion and water resistance. Also, such coating should have good workability, so as to adapt to the long-term use environment of the glass. The “Thermal Insulation Coatings for Building Glass” standard (JG/T338-2011) issued in 2011 puts forward clear requirements for transparent thermal insulation coatings and lays a foundation for the promotion of transparent thermal insulation coatings.
