For example, preparation of a small-area electrochromic film: 15mL of 0.5mg/mL nano-ink is sprayed on a hot-heated FTO conductive glass by a spray gun to obtain an electrochromic thin film of 2.5×3.5cm2. For another example, preparation of a large-area electrochromic film: 100mL of 0.5mg/mL nano-ink is sprayed on a hot-heated FTO conductive glass by a spray gun to obtain an electrochromic film of 10×10cm2. The size of the deposited film is mainly selected in accordance of the size of the laboratory hot stage of 15×15cm2. To prevent cracking of the FTO conductive glass due to uneven heating, the size of the prepared film must be less than 15×15cm2. Certainly, the preparation of the above films is based only on laboratory research. For large-scale application, these sizes are too small, so the research on actual use of large-area films will be carried out.
