Some experts use X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscope, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, spectroscopic ellipsometry, UV-visible spectrophotometer, electrochemical workstation to characterize and analyze the microstructure, spectral modulation ability, coloring efficiency and cycle stability of the prepared doped tungsten oxide film. And the effects of Ta doping on the structure and electrochromic properties of the doped tungsten oxide films were investigated. They found that moderate doping can adjust the microstructure of the film. So, the cracks in the film are reduced. And the surface is more uniform. However, when the doping is excessive, the film is too dense. More badly, the surface particles agglomerate and bulge, affecting the porosity and uniformity of film, and thereby hindering the migration and diffusion of ions in the film. Compared with the tungsten oxide film, Ta doping tungsten oxide films with appropriate Ta doping amount have a wider spectral modulation range and higher coloring efficiency, and also exhibit good cycle stability.
