Nano ammonium metatungstate is one of the important raw materials for preparing near infrared shielding material such as thermal insulation film of cesium tungsten bronze nanoparticles. As you may know, the thermal insulation film can also be produced using LaB6 as raw material - a material with a plasma wavelength range of 700-1100nm. However, although the high conductivity make it can block more infrared rays, LaB6 also absorbs in the visible range, so the produced thermal insulation film has dark color, which is hard to meet the requirements of high transparency and high thermal insulation performance. However, the cesium tungsten bronze heat-insulating film prepared by using ammonium metatungstate as a raw material has high visible light transmittance while satisfying high heat insulation requirements. That is to say, cesium tungsten bronze is more suitable for preparing a heat insulating film than LaB6. Therefore, in recent years, cesium tungsten bronze heat insulation materials have been more and more widely used in the field of heat insulation.
