Cs0.33WO3 particles, or cesium tungsten bronze particles or cesium doped tungsten oxide particles, may be used as heat insulating functional particles for the production of thermal insulation film. The following image shows the transmittance spectra of Cs0.33WO3 coatings prepared from dispersion of particles in aqueous solution and ethanol. With ethanol as the dispersion medium, the average particle size of the cesium tungsten bronze nanoparticles of the slurry was 326.6nm, which was larger than the original particle size.

This is because the nano cesium tungsten bronze particles interact with each other through the dipole action in the ethanol solution, and induce an asymmetric distribution of the surface charge of the particles. When the cesium tungsten bronze nanoparticles themselves or the induced dipole moment is large enough, the kinetic energy and electrostatic repulsion between the particles can be overcome, and agglomeration occurs. Since the polarity of the water molecules is stronger than that of the ethanol molecules, the strong polar molecules in the aqueous solution can offset the influence of the surface charge asymmetry of the particles, so the dispersion slurry prepared by the aqueous solution has better dispersion stability and optical properties.
