Nano Grain Size Cesium Tungsten Oxide Applied for Ceramic Microsphere

Nano grain size cesium tungsten oxide may be used to prepare a functional ceramic microsphere with excellent heat insulating property. And thus the ceramic particles may be used for producing heat insulating materials such as heat insulating films. Finally, the obtained thin film may be applied to fields such as architectural glass windows. In this regard, experts said that the raw material used - cesium tungsten oxide nanoparticles, i.e., cesium tungsten bronze nanoparticles, must have good dispersibility. In other words, the cesium tungsten bronze nano particles cannot be agglomerated for giving full play to its advantages of shielding near-infrared rays.

As you may have known, there are many factors that affect the agglomeration of nanoparticles, one of which is the polarity of the liquid medium. So, what is the effect of liquid medium polarity on nanoparticles’ agglomeration? In general, polar particles are easily dispersed in a polar liquid and wetted, and a solvated layer is formed on the surface of the dispersed particles. When the particles are close to each other, the mutual repulsion between the solvation layers hinders the agglomeration of the particles. After the polar particles are dispersed in the non-polar liquid medium, the solvent layer cannot be formed. Since the bonding force inside the medium is greater than the bonding force between the medium and the particles, there is a tendency to discharge the particles out of the medium, and the surface of the particles is exposed, so that it is easy to reciprocate and agglomerate each other.
