Nano Cs Doped Tungsten Oxide Applied for Thermal Insulation Masterbatch

Nano Cs doped tungsten oxide, or nano grain size cesium tungsten bronze, may be applied for producing thermal insulation masterbatch. According to experts, the used cesium tungsten bronze nanoparticles can be prepared by hydrothermal synthesis using Na2WO4•2H2O and Cs2CO3 as raw materials.

In the preparation process, the experts also studied the effect of heat treatment on the optical properties of cesium tungsten bronze (Cs0.33WO3) nanoparticles. They found that heat treatment in air is not conducive to the improvement of its optical properties, and the performance is getting worse as the heat treatment temperature increases.

In addition, experts also said that the release reduction atmosphere of carbon powder at high temperature has no obvious effect on the optical properties of Cs0.33WO3 powder. The optimal optical performance achieved by heat treatment at 700°C is almost the same as that of untreated Cs0.33WO3 powder. The heat treatment of Cs0.33WO3 powder under nitrogen atmosphere has the best performance. The optical performance of heat treatment at 500°C in nitrogen atmosphere is optimal, the visible light transmittance is about 56%, and the near-infrared shielding rate is as high as 76%.
