Molybdenum Decreased Demand, Weak Stable Price in Apr.

In Apr, 2017, molybdenum decreased demand leads to a weak stable price. The main reason goes to decreased demand and lower price from steel industry.

45% molybdenum concentrate is quoted as 1,170~1,180RMB/TON in the very beginning of Apr., but 1,190~1,200RMB/TON at the end of Apr. 51% molybdenum oxide is 1,270-1,280RMB/TON on Apr. 1 and 1,280-1,290 RMB/TON on Apr. 30. for 60 ferro molybdenum the price is 83,000-86,000 RMB/TON，and 83,000-85,000RMB/TON.

As records of international price, end Apr. the price of molybdenum oxide is 8.6-8.7USD/lb.Mo and ferro molybdenum of 21.5-21.7 USD/lb.Mo.

As statistics showed, the bidding quantity of molybdenum from steel industry is 8,000tons with a result of rising price, but the quantity is obviously decreased to 3,000tons in Apr.

Totally, molybdenum is at a weak stable status in Apr.
