Chinese Tungsten Prices Were in the Downward Trend in November

Chinese tungsten prices were in the downward trend in the last week in November as the market was caught in heavy wait-and-see atmosphere. Terminal demand continued to be weak, enterprises faced capital pressure at the end of the year and purchasers remained low buying interests. 

Due to the environmental protection inspection in major tungsten production areas, factories remained low operating rate and output was cut as a result. Raw material sellers then were reluctant to lower their offer levels. Smelting factories were cautions to trade with fewer transactions concluded. 

On the whole, tungsten marker now faces grave challenges posed by high production costs, tight supply and funds pressure. The market in December is unpredicted. This week, the market will wait for the new round of tungsten average prices released by Ganzhou Tungsten Association and large enterprises.
