How to Make Gold Filled Jewelry

Gold-filled jewelry offers all the lustrous yellow glow of solid gold jewelry at a fraction of the cost. 1.Cut a length of gold-filled chain using wire cutters. Make sure the gold-filled chain is long enough to form either a bracelet or a necklace. Keep in mind that a clasp will add between ? to 1 inch to the length of the bracelet or necklace.

2.Unclasp the two portions of a gold-filled jewelry clasp.

4.Bend open a second jump ring with flat-nosed pliers. Slip the jump ring through the last link at the opposite end of your gold-filled chain. Hook the same jump ring onto the small ring attached to the other portion of the jewelry clasp. Close the jump ring with the pliers.

5.Hook the two portions of the jewelry clasp back together. You now have a gold-filled bracelet or necklace.
