Container ray imaging detection system, also known as container scanning imaging system, is the inspective device by tungsten alloy collimator for detection container system of X, γ-ray on the container or air trays, transport trucks, freight trains and the goods carried.

Container detection system is mainly composed of radiation source, detector, control, image analysis, safety interlock, warning and emergency facilities. The working principle of the container inspection system: linear accelerator uses high-frequency electric field that distributed along the linear orbit to accelerate electrons. Accelerated electric field has traveling wave and standing wave. In order to keep the charged particles running along the axis in an accelerating state, it is required that the velocity of the electromagnetic wave in the waveguide be synchronized with the motion of the accelerated particles.

 

Electron linac accelerates electrons to get high-energy electron beam to lead against heavy metal target. Through X-ray beam continuously generated by bremsstrahlung, and scanning the goods by X-ray fan-shaped narrow beam that formed by tungsten alloy collimator for container detection system, and detector collection and image processing, it could get seized goods of different material density distribution image to distinguish whether there’s doping misstatement, contraband and dangerous goods when transporting goods.

 

 

All system components of container inspection system, including the X-ray detector,  control unit and X-ray unit are easy to disassemble and can be reinstalled in a short period of time. The accelerator is situated in the hull as radiation source accelerator. The scanning hall mainly consists of accelerator cabin, detector cabin, detector structure, concrete shielding wall, corresponding interlocking device and control device. Radiation protection facilities include accelerators, shielding walls around detectors, scanning channels, walls, scanning hall surrounded by related shielding facilities, and radiation safety interlocking device to ensure the safety of personnel.

 

As a shielding material for the radiation source, tungsten alloy collimator for container detection system is widely used in container inspection. It can be used for inspection of contraband in goods and vehicles in ports, prisons and borders, such as weapons, explosives, weapons of mass destruction, narcotic drugs and goods that have not been declared.
