Due to its excellent luminous properties, high melting point, and favorable mechanical properties, tungsten wire is widely used in audiovisual projector lamps and is a key component in ensuring high-quality illumination and stable operation.
Tungsten wire's core function is as a light source. When current passes through a tungsten wire, due to its high resistivity, the electrical energy is efficiently converted into heat, rapidly increasing its temperature to an incandescent state, emitting bright light. This white light, generated by thermal radiation, provides stable and uniform illumination, paving the way for projectors to produce clear, bright images. Compared to some other luminescent materials, the light emitted by tungsten wire has a more suitable color temperature, closer to natural light, and can reproduce more realistic and natural colors, making projected images more vivid and lifelike, meeting the audience's demand for a high-quality visual experience.
Tungsten wire has an extremely high melting point of approximately 3410°C, allowing it to remain solid in high-temperature environments without melting. During projector lamp operation, tungsten wires are subjected to extremely high temperatures. While ordinary metals would melt at such high temperatures, tungsten wires remain stable, ensuring continuous and reliable illumination. This not only extends the lamp's lifespan and reduces the hassle and cost of frequent lamp replacements, but also ensures stable performance over extended periods of use, preventing light source failures from disrupting normal audiovisual presentations.
Tungsten wire also possesses excellent mechanical strength and toughness. During the manufacturing and installation of projector lamps, tungsten wires undergo bending and fixing operations. Its excellent mechanical properties facilitate these operations and prevent the tungsten wire from breaking due to vibration or minor impact during operation, further enhancing the lamp's reliability and durability.
