Tungsten Nut

Similar to tungsten alloy dart shafts, the tungsten alloy nut is a common tungsten product made with refractory metal tungsten as the base and metals like nickel and iron as auxiliary materials. It features a central hole with internal threading. In production and application, it is often referred to as a tungsten nut or tungsten cap, with the English name Tungsten Alloy Nut or Tungsten Nut.

Tungsten nut typically exhibits high density, great hardness, high strength, oxidation resistance, high- and low-temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, wear resistance, non-toxicity, and non-radioactivity. Notably, specific performance metrics depend closely on auxiliary materials, raw material ratios, and manufacturing processes.

Common types of tungsten nut includes hexagonal nut, wing nut, nylon lock nut, iron lock nut, thickened nut, butterfly nut, square nut, square weld nut, cap nut, flange nut, slotted hexagonal nut, and round nut.

The production of tungsten nut involves first creating a tungsten-based alloy, followed by deep processing. Common methods for producing tungsten-based alloys include powder metallurgy and injection molding.

Powder Metallurgy Process: Mixing (tungsten powder and binder) → Pressing → Pre-sintering → Liquid-phase sintering → Heat treatment → Blank machining → Cold working → Aging → Final machining → Finished product.

Injection Molding Process: Feed mixing (tungsten powder and binder) → Granulation → Injection → Degreasing and pre-sintering → Sintering → Heat treatment → Finished product.

Tungsten nut is commonly used as components in aircraft, ships, bicycles, motorcycles, cars, medical devices, wheelchairs, golf clubs, gaming mice, and more. Compared to lead nuts or steel nuts, tungsten nuts have a broader range of applications.
