There are different types of X-ray protective tungsten alloy screens, including single tungsten alloy screen, double tungsten alloy screen, and triple tungsten alloy screen. Such screens are designed with castors for mobile applications, such as CT rooms and other X-ray imaging rooms. And it equipped with lead glass (good transparency) for observing.

Compared with traditional lead screen, X-ray protective tungsten alloy screen has better X-ray shielding performance. Studies show that because of high density, the volume of tungsten alloy shields is only 2/3 that of lead screen to obtain equivalent protective effect. This means that the volume (mainly in thickness) of tungsten alloy screen is much smaller than that of lead screen, while it can achieve the same shielding effect.
