Tungsten carbide blade is fabricated using tungsten carbide or ultrafine tungsten carbide as raw materials. Wherein, tungsten carbide has hardness (HRA) of 91 and toughness (MPa) of 1471, while ultrafine tungsten carbide has hardness (HRA) of 92 and toughness (MPa) of 2550.

Tungsten carbide blades are used for processing plastics as well as non-ferrous alloys, and offer excellent resistance to heat and wear. Their optimum conditions of use allow higher speeds than HSS blades. The ultrafine-grain, tungsten carbide used as their base material gives excellent durability. Care should be taken since impact load may cause some chipping or breakage to occur.
Generally, tungsten carbide blade is used to cut light metals (aluminum, aluminum die-castings, aluminum castings, etc.), non-ferrous metals and non-metals (plastics, bakelite, glass fiber resins, etc.). And tungsten carbide blades will offer you better performance and increased productivity for cutting the following materials: LLDPE, PP, PA, PVC, HDPE, BOPET, PET, BOPP, metal or stretch film and others.
