Preparation of WO3 Hollow Sphere

Weigh 0.50g of sulfonated polystyrene microspheres, ultrasonically dispersed in 100mL of absolute ethanol. Add 1.00g WCl6 to this colloidal solution, and the colloidal solution changes from white to yellow. After WCl6 was completely dissolved, 25mL of deionized water was slowly added to it, and the solution turned dark blue. The system was mechanically stirred to react in a 70 °C water bath for 24h, cooled to room temperature, centrifuged and washed with deionized water multiple times, dried at 60 °C, and then placed in a muffle furnace for heat treatment.

Heat treatment process: calcined at 200 °C for 1h to completely decompose the sulfonated polystyrene microspheres, and then calcined at 300 °C for 3h.
