WO3 hollow sphere is a non-toxic semiconductor material with narrow band gap (2.4-2.8eV), which can be used as a catalyst for the catalytic degradation of organic matter in sewage in visible light catalytic reaction. It has been reported that the photocatalytic performance of WO3 hollow spheres can be characterized by the degradation of Rhodamine B.

How to test the photocatalytic performance of WO3 Hollow spheres?
Weigh 0.07g of catalyst and add 100mL of Rhodamine B solution with a mass concentration of 10 mg/L, and add 2mL of H2O2 with a mass fraction of 30%. After being placed in the dark place for 1h under magnetic stirring, start lighting (light source is 160W self-ballasted fluorescent high pressure mercury lamp), sample 5mL at 20min intervals, and centrifuge at 4000 r/min for 20min, and then take the supernatant and analyze with an ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer.
Wherein, WO3 is also known as tungsten trioxide, and sometimes it is called as yellow tungsten oxide.
