Tungsten Sulfide Lubricating Material Upgrade for Carbon Brush II

Tungsten disulfide lubricating material is a very excellent new material for wear reduction and energy saving. Its friction coefficient is only 0.03, and its performance is much better than the traditional graphite and molybdenum disulfide. It is known as the new "king of lubrication". It can not only be used in general lubrication conditions, but also in certain high temperature, low temperature, high load, high vacuum, radiation line and corrosive medium and other harsh working environment. It can be in powder state, or mixed with lubricating oil, grease, graphite, gold powder, plastic and other materials to make composite materials.

The researchers optimized the synthesis scheme of tungsten disulfide lubricating materials. The steps were calculated and weighed according to sulfur, tungsten, silicon carbide and catalyst respectively. The proportion of sulfur weight to tungsten powder weight was 34-100%, the proportion of silicon carbide weight to tungsten powder weight was 0.5-30%, and the proportion of catalyst weight to tungsten powder weight was 0.05-0.5%.

(1) Silicon carbide is mixed into 5-8g / L carbide suspension, tungsten powder is mixed into 20-30g / L suspension, urea or OP emulsifier of 0.5-1.5% of the total suspension is added as dispersant, pH value is controlled to be ≤ 5, and the two are mixed and stirred at 25-65 ℃ and atmospheric pressure for 0.5-2 hours, so that tungsten is coated on the surface of silicon carbide;

(2) Urea and anhydrous ethanol were mixed into precursor solution according to 1: (3-5), then catalyst and sulfur were added and stirred for 10-20 minutes at room temperature;


(3) The mixture of (1) and (2) was mixed and aged for 1-2 hours before vacuum filtration. The filtered mixture was put into an oven filled with argon gas for drying. The temperature was controlled at 70-102 ℃, and the drying time was 10-100 minutes. The evenly distributed mixed powder was obtained;

(4) Reaction in reaction furnace
Under the protection of argon, the high temperature sintering reaction was carried out between 230 ℃ and 850 ℃, and the reaction time was 5-24 hours.

(5) Abrasive
The cooled reactant is crushed until the particle size is less than 100 microns.

(6) Classification of vibrating screen
The tungsten disulfide composite was obtained by vibrating and screening the products with good Abrasives according to the particle size. The weight percentage of the tungsten disulfide composite in the carbon brush accounts for 0.5-10% of the total weight of the carbon brush.

The tungsten disulfide lubricating material can make the motor work better in stability and rectifying characteristics, higher in efficiency, smaller in friction loss rate of carbon brush and commutator, longer in service life, and can suppress the generation of noise. At the same time, it can simplify the subsequent brush preparation process and greatly improve the brush preparation efficiency.
