Metallic Tungsten Selenide Nanosheets - Carbon Nanotubes Hybrid Structure Electrocatalysts

Transition metal chalcogenides, as a new two-dimensional layered material, have similar properties to graphene and are widely used in field-effect transistors, sensors, energy storage and catalysis. Tungsten selenide, as an undeveloped transition metal chalcogenide, is a promising non-noble metal catalyst. Its performance is also influenced by the phase and electronic structure.
Carbon nanotubes also have high conductivity and good chemical stability. The construction of two-dimensional tungsten selenide nanosheets/carbon nanotubes hybrid structure can effectively improve the density of active sites and electron transport ability of tungsten selenide, and further improve the catalytic activity. The preparation method of metal phase tungsten selenide nanosheet-carbon nanotube hybrid structure electrocatalyst is as follows:
(1)Selenium powder, sodium borohydride and multi-walled carbon nanotubes were dispersed in N, N-dimethylmethylamine and stirred evenly at 40-60 ℃. The quality concentration of Selenium powder, sodium borohydride and multi-walled carbon nanotubes were (10-15)*10-3 g/mL, (5-6)*10-3 g/mL and (1-6)*10-4 g/mL, respectively.
(2)Dissolve sodium tungstate dihydrate in water and prepare a solution of sodium tungstate dihydrate with a mass concentration of (100-150)*10-3 g/mL, in which the volume ratio of N, N-dimethylmethylamine and water is (4-5):1;
(3)The solution obtained in step (2) is added to the solution obtained in step (1) and stirred evenly.
(4)The solution obtained in step (3) was reacted at 160-200 ℃ for 8-12 H.
(5)Steps (4) After the reaction, centrifugal washing, the precipitation will be dried in vacuum;
(6)The product obtained in step (5) was carbonized at 300-500 ℃ for 3-5 h under the protection of inert gas, and then the metal phase tungsten selenide nanosheet-carbon nanotube hybrid structure electrocatalyst was obtained.
Metallic tungsten selenide nanosheet-carbon nanotube hybrid structure electrocatalysts exhibit better electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution performance than commercial tungsten selenide and pure metal tungsten selenide, which has a good application prospect in the catalytic field.
