The Manufacturing Method of Tungsten Yttrium Electrode

When the tungsten tungsten electrode is welded, the arc beam is slender and has a high degree of compression, especially in the medium and high current penetration. It is mainly used in the military and aerospace industries. Tungsten yttrium electrode has the characteristics of long life and good arc starting performance, and has broad application prospects.
At present, the method of manufacturing tungsten and yttrium electrodes at home and abroad is mainly to make tungsten yttrium coated powder by evaporating pot, and prepare tungsten yttrium electrode with tungsten yttrium coated powder. The main mechanism is the use of the aqueous solution of yttrium nitrate and the solid raw material ammonium para tungstate APT, doping in the dopant, and by the spray drying process, which are as follows:
1.According to the brand name of tungsten yttrium electrode, yttrium nitrate 13.5 ~ 15kg is dissolved in 15L deionized water to prepare yttrium nitrate solution.
2.Ammonium para tungstate (APT) of 450Kg is put into the dopant, and an yttrium nitrate solution of 0.9 ~ 1.0g/ml, with a good concentration of 0.9 ~ 1.0g/ml, is injected into the dopant, and the vacuum device can be used in the spray process to cover the ammonium para tungstate APT by spray.
3.The injection speed is 25ml/min, and the injection time is 40 minutes to 60 minutes.
4.After about 20 minutes after the spray, the steam was sent to the dryer, the steam pressure was 0.2 ~ 0.4Mpa, the steam temperature was 120~130 ℃, and the vacuum was reduced to 95 centigrade when the vacuum was reduced to about 2.5h. After half an hour, the dopant was stopped.
5.After two reduction at 500~540 and 600~970 ℃, yttrium powder was prepared. The yttrium yttrium billet was made by the obtained yttrium powder. The volume of the square billet was 12 * 1 x 400mm3, the amount of powder was 630 ~ 750g. After the sintering of 1100~1250 ℃ for 40 minutes, the tungsten yttrium strip was then sintered at high temperature, and the sintered blank was made. It is made of several kinds of common electrodes, such as 6.5mm, 3.2mm, 2.4mm, 2.0mm, 1.6mm, 1.0mm, etc. by rotary forging and chain pulling.
The above method utilizes the decomposition of nitrate in a reducing atmosphere to avoid the process of calcining and decomposing nitrate in a baking furnace, so that the decomposition of nitrate can be more fully achieved, and the conductive property of the square material can be obviously improved during the high temperature process. The effect, while reducing the process, reducing the number of man-hours, and saving energy, is an ideal method of manufacturing a tungsten crucible electrode.
