Tungsten Radiation Protective Clothing

How to reduce all kinds of radiation intensity, effectively protect the environment and protect human health has been urgently mentioned on the agenda. Chinese researchers have developed a new type of tungsten radiation protective clothing, which reduces the cost through technology. The implementation of the process is as follows:

(1) A certain amount of bismuth tungstate powder, zirconium oxide bead, distilled water, anhydrous ethanol and modifier were put into the Teflon ball mill. The wet ball milling was carried out at a certain speed and time, then after washing and drying at 60~80°C, the modified γ radiation protective powder was obtained.

(2) The rubber matrix and the coordination agent of the γ radiation protective clothing are fully mixed in the open mill or the mixer, and a homogeneous mixing film is obtained.

(3) The surface of the fabric was coated on the surface of the fabric with adhesive, and the rubber coated on the surface of the fabric was put on the surface of the fabric on the surface of the fabric.

(4) The rubber coated fabric with extended pressure is placed in the vulcanizing chamber and formed by vulcanization at the temperature of 120~160°C and 0.5 ~ 24h, and the γ radiation protective material for the rubber coated fabric is obtained.

(5) Through the process of cutting, sewing and locking nails, the γ radiation protective clothing made of rubber coated fabric is made into a γ radiation protective clothing.

The above method can choose the functional powder of different kinds and different content according to the gamma ray of different energy as the radiation protection material. The radiation protective clothing has good softness and strong adhesion strength, in which the protective powder of gamma radiation can improve the compatibility and mixing uniformity of the powder and rubber, and is beneficial to the rubber. The mechanical properties of the rubber composite material are improved and the shielding free area is reduced. The production efficiency is high, the cost is low, and a large number of solvents and production conditions can be saved.
