Bismuth Tungstate / Polyaniline Composite Photocatalyst

The modification methods of bismuth tungstate can be used in various ways. Researchers have provided a method for the preparation of bismuth / polyaniline composite photocatalyst with a simple process and excellent product performance. It is said that the composite photocatalyst has a good effect on the treatment of methylene blue in sewage.

(1) The preparation process of bismuth tungstate / polyaniline composite photocatalyst is that the Na2WO4 solution is added to Bi (NO3)3 solution, and the mixing reaction is sufficient at room temperature. In the stirring condition, adding NaOH solution to the mixture to adjust the acid-base property and transferring to the reaction kettle to carry out the hydrothermal reaction; the product after the reaction is distilled water and anhydrous. Bismuth bismuth powder was prepared by washing with ethanol and drying at 60°C.

(2) The bismuth tungstate powder and polyaniline were compounded: 0.009g polyaniline (PANI) was added to NMP (N- methyl pyrrolidone) of 20mL (PANI, 0.45g/L) and ultrasonic 30min to make it dispersed evenly. Then, according to the different mass ratio of PANI/Bi2WO6, the Bi2WO6 powder was dispersed in the concentration of 0.45g/L polyaniline organic solution, the ultrasonic was about 30min, then 6h was stirred, the centrifuge was washed, and the final product of bismuth tungstate / polyaniline powder was obtained.

0.02g, bismuth tungstate / polyaniline powder was dissolved in the 10mg/L methylene blue solution of 20mL, 2h was irradiated under the light source of lambda =365nm, and the centrifuge supernatant was tested with UV visible spectrometer. When the wavelength range was 200nm-800nm and the mass ratio of PANI/Bi2WO6 was 1%, the prepared bismuth / polyaniline heterojunction photocatalyst was prepared. The photodegradation rate of methyl blue is the highest, reaching 82.5%.
