Tungsten Concentrate Producing Tungsten Trioxide

Traditionally, the tungsten concentrate is mainly smelted by classical technology, extraction process and ion exchange process. Because sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid are used in these processes, sodium ions and chloride ions are very active in chemistry, so they cannot be separated from precipitates in an economical and effective way. It will produce acid and alkali waste liquid and pollute the environment.
The tungsten trioxide is prepared directly from the tungsten concentrate, and the type of the tungsten concentrate is not particularly limited as long as the above chemical reaction can be performed. The tungsten concentrate is mixed with silica and calcined to obtain a fired product containing tungsten trioxide.
In a muffle furnace, 1.2g of a theoretical amount of silica was added to 500 g of a tungsten concentrate having a particle size of -320 mesh at a reaction temperature of 900℃ for 2 hours to obtain a calcined product. Firing by hand breaking ball mill - wet grinding, particle size of -320 mesh, in the high-pressure decomposition reactor at a temperature of 100 degrees Celsius and under the pressure of 0.6MPa, the wet grinding after the firing of 431.3ml and ammonia water mixture for 1 hours, the use of ammonia dissolving sintering tungsten oxide in the obtained solution of ammonium tungstate. At the temperature of 100 degrees Celsius, the ammonium tungstate solution was evaporated until pH was 6.7 at the stirring speed of 40r/min, and then the purified liquid was evaporated and crystallized, and finally the ammonium parotungstate was obtained.
The method for preparing tungsten trioxide from tungsten concentrates has the following advantages: (1) under the optimum process conditions, the tungsten trioxide can be dissolved in ammonia to 99.6%; (2) Tungsten oxide is prepared from high-temperature calcination of tungsten concentrates and silica, dissolved in ammonia, purified and impurity-removed, and evaporated and crystallized to obtain APT, which can shorten the technological process, which effectively avoids the acid-base waste liquid brought by using sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid in the prior art, it will not pollute the environment, and can achieve high efficiency, clean production and zero discharge of waste water.
