Tungsten trioxide thin film is by far the earliest found, the most widely used, the most promising electrochromic materials. In addition to its wide range of applications in electrochromic, tungsten trioxide thin films have also found wide applications in such areas as geotropism, photochromes, filters, dye-sensitized solar cells and the like.
However, the use of tungsten trioxide thin film in the process, along with ion implantation and extraction, there will be film dissolution and residual ions. Its electrochromism will have a significant decline, thus limiting the widespread use of electrochromic devices. However, the tungsten trioxide film is doped with titanium through material recombination and the like, so that the stability and the service life of the tungsten trioxide film can be improved.
Titanium is often used as a dopant for tungsten trioxide electrochromic thin films due to its excellent stability and excellent transparency in a wide range of wavelengths. Titanium-doped tungsten trioxide films combine the advantages of both materials to provide better cycling stability of tungsten trioxide films. To achieve the purpose of improving its electrochromic properties.
It is found that titanium-doped tungsten trioxide film has more superior proton conductivity than ordinary tungsten trioxide film. However, there is little research on the relationship between the structure and properties of Ti-doped tungsten trioxide thin films. Therefore, the evolution of the microstructure of Ti-doped tungsten trioxide thin films and the structural properties of tungsten-titanium-oxygen are investigated to provide the basis for designing the microstructure and optical properties of the desired devices. At the same time conducive to the practical development of smart windows.
