Tungsten Oxide Film Products Problems

Tungsten oxide thin film is a new functional material that is a kind of thin film tungsten oxide which has excellent application prospect in many new fields with potential for development, such as smart windows, flat panel displays, gas sensors, solar cells and energy storage devices, etc. which have excellent color changing properties. Different tungsten oxide films have different surface morphologies, so various types of tungsten oxide films have somewhat different properties.

Due to the disadvantages of conventional tungsten oxide films, such as long shading time and low sensitivity, the application of tungsten oxide thin film has been restricted in different fields. Many materials workers have developed many optimized methods for the performance of tungsten oxide films in response to this problem. Tungsten oxide thin film performance optimization methods are divided into three types: First, the preparation of a new type of surface morphology of tungsten oxide film; the second is to prepare nano-tungsten oxide composite film; third is the doping material to change the nature of tungsten oxide film.

Tungsten oxide thin films are mainly studied in the fields of electrochromism and gasochromism. There are relatively few studies on other properties such as photochromism and thermochromism of tungsten oxide films. Therefore, optimizing the tungsten oxide discoloration film to broaden its application areas may be a new direction for the future research of tungsten oxide film.
