Tungsten Oxide Glass Coating Method

Sol-gel is a good technique, but if you want low costs and want to minimize mess, go for spin coating.

Create a WO3 suspension in water/alcohol. For that you need fine WO3which can be obtained by ball milling bulk tungsten trioxide. The final achievable thinness is determined by how fine your ball-milled WO3 powder is. But be aware that ball milling will always introduce impurities, and the finer the end powder, larger is the impurity content. This suspension is placed at the center of your substrate, which is rotated at about 100rpm for some time to form an uniform coating. After spin coating,low temperature sintering of the as-deposited WO3 is applied to improve your film properties.
