The minimum stable arc current comparison of cerium tungsten electrode and thorium tungsten electrode, as follows:

As can be drawn from the table:
When the diameter of electrode material is relatively large (=5.0mm), the minimum stable arc current (100A) is the same of the four kinds of electrodes, and with the decrease of diameter, cerium tungsten electrode arc performance improves, and it is better than thorium tungsten electrode’s.
