China’s domestic rare earth price is in the upward trend on the whole on Feb. 16, 2022. But affected by complex factors, the price game between buyers and sellers is fierce, so the order growth rate is moderate, and some industry players are worried about the future demand.

Rafaella Resources, European-focused tungsten (W) producer, has significantly increased its underground resources in Spain, in addition to two new exploration targets. The company announced a 24% increase in the Mina Carmen underground resource at its flagship Santa Comba project to 291,000 tonnes at 0.95% W and 0.23% tin (Sn).

China’s domestic molybdenum market continues to be strong on February 18, 2022. The transaction prices of molybdenum concentrate and ferro molybdenum have reached RMB 2,500/ton and RMB 170,000/ton, respectively.

Group 6 Metals Limited (G6M, formerly King Island Scheelite Limited) has started work on its Dolphin Tungsten Project on King Island, while the company has appointed a new chief executive officer. G6M said that following the delivery of a D8 bulldozer on Jan. 20, work on its Grassy Earthworks at its Dolphin project began in late January.
