U.S. scientists found that iron can produce similar magnetic rare earth under special circumstances

U.S. Department of Energy 's Ames Laboratory researchers found that in certain special circumstances like the rare earth magnetic iron can produce , but also provide raw materials for a new license and easier to obtain for generators and motors . The researchers said the discovery of high-strength permanent magnets used in hybrid car motors currently offers the possibility to produce magnetic iron and permanent. Hybrid car motors and permanent magnet electromagnet transformed into mechanical motion into electricity . Although iron can produce magnetic , but still want to REE into an industrial magnet , but the biggest challenge is the high price of rare earth ore and limited quantity , it is difficult to meet the demand . However , the lab's researchers said ferromagnetic of nitrogen can . But because the magnetic appears only at low temperatures , and therefore did not achieve a breakthrough in industrial production . This is just a basic scientific advances , technological breakthroughs for the future indicate a path . I hope this discovery will help in the automotive and high-tech alternative to the rare element used in industry . Source: China metal mesh

The Mexican government will begin funding the deep exploration of rare earth projects

Mexico will begin to explore the projects funded positioned on the rare earth metals, rare earth metals have applications in a wide variety , such as green technology , defense systems, consumer electronics and high-tech industries such as increasingly important .

According to the National Geological Survey (SGM) , the global demand for rare earths in 2016 will reach 160,000 tons , of which China is expected to produce 80 %, which leaves room for other suppliers ,

Meanwhile , the latest release by the National Academy of Sciences and the European Union 's research has issued a warning to the world , saying that some of the key elements in the future may soon face a serious shortage . Currently about 95 % of the world's most advanced rare earth from Asia, China , and the country needs to export quotas . Currently , except China , only two rare earth mine in production . One of them is the Australian company to the NC , Lynas CorpM, another American molybdenum company (Molycorp).

Mexico is one of the world's most advanced 10 largest crude oil producer , ambitious government last year proposed a reform plan. This is designed to open the country's energy sector program for more than seven decades . They also seek to use cheap energy to promote local industry

State mining company directly employs approximately 334,000 employees , 200 million are indirectly employed , is in addition to the oil , automotive and electronics fourth largest foreign exchange earner .

Although the number of rare earth deposits in Mexico is not yet clear, but the country 's deep in the West Bank , there are such elements. Deep-sea mining, although unlikely to replace mined land , but still can ease fears of a shortage of rare earth and to challenge China 's rare earth monopoly.

The Mexican government to provide financial support for the rare earth exploration

Mexican Ministry of Economy will provide funds to support the exploration of rare earth mine . Importance of the application of rare earth elements in various industrial fields of green technology , defense systems, electronic products and high-tech fields such as growing. According to the National Geological Survey (SGM) Department expects 2016 global rare earth demand will reach 16 million tons, China 's production is expected to meet 80% of demand, with the balance being other sources to meet . The basic forecast and recent U.S. National Academy of Sciences and consistent with the forecasts of the EU, the two institutions also said the world may soon face a serious shortage of some of the major rare earth elements . Currently about 95 percent of the world's rare earths produced in China . Outside China , only two rare earth mines, a North Carolina company is located in Australia MountWeld mine, and the other is molybdenum in the Mountain Pass mine in California .

Mexico as the world's tenth largest oil producer is implementing the reform program proposed by the Government last year. Initial plans to abandon development of the domestic energy sector , seeking to boost local production of cheap energy industry . Mexican mining industry there are about 33.4 million people employed directly and indirectly employing 200 million people, is the country's fourth-largest industry revenue dollars , second only to cars, oil and electronics . Although rare earth ore reserves of Mexico is not yet clear, but the West Coast have these elements in its huge resources of the seabed . Although the possibility of land mines instead of deep-sea mining is unlikely , but would help alleviate the shortage of rare earth resource concerns .

WTO requires China to cancel export restrictions on rare earths

World Trade Organization (WTO) yesterday asked China to abolish export restrictions on rare earths , which is a major victory for the United States , the European Union (EU) and Japan achieved . Rare is the smart phones, cameras , steel and hybrid vehicles in production of key raw materials .

WTO said Beijing over the years to use trade policy to control a key strategic commodities markets , and to encourage manufacturers to move their factories to China .

The ruling by the United States , Japan and European trade officials welcomed the latter complained that the export restrictions to allow Chinese companies an unfair advantage.

? EU Trade Commissioner Carlo De Gucht (Karel de Gucht) , said : "WTO ruling today on rare shows that no country can hoard of rare earth from global markets, and to allow other WTO members to pay . "China's rare earth production accounted for 90 % of global output . Means 17 kinds of rare earth metal elements , including lanthanum , tungsten, and molybdenum , including neodymium .

Beijing has initially introduced in 2009 rare earth export restrictions in 2011 led to global rare earth prices soared . Due to fears of a global supply shortage , some rare earth prices rose as high as 500%.

In order to break Beijing's control , people have to invest in rare earth mine in the U.S. and Australia . Last year , Japanese scientists claimed to have discovered huge reserves of rare earth in the Pacific Ocean .

But the more direct contest launched at the WTO - Japan, the United States and the European Union filed a complaint in 2012. China argues that these limits are designed to protect resources and the environment. WTO did not recognize this claim .

U.S. Trade Representative Mike ? Floman (Mike Froman) to reporters that the U.S. manufacturer to pay the same price of rare earth three times higher than Chinese competitors . He added: " China 's move makes it impossible to have unrestricted access to key raw materials , which is not fair. The ruling will mean that U.S. manufacturing firms and workers to compete fairly . "

However , rare cases unlikely to end with yesterday's ruling . Beijing aspects can be appealed within 60 days. Chinese Ministry of Commerce , said the WTO decision " regrettable ," adding that the report is evaluating the ruling .

China said its " management " measures " in line with the WTO advocates sustainable development goals , and promoting resources, environment and harmonious development of mankind ."

However , the ruling has broader implications . WTO panel said it has sought to coordinate the countries over natural resources "permanent sovereignty" of the United Nations principles and global trade rules . The panel concluded that once the mining and natural resources are put on the market , they should apply WTO rules . This may make it more difficult in other countries introduced or maintained such restrictions .

But the ruling also between the U.S. and China with a bigger wrestling related , its focus is on Beijing's industrial policy and how to use such policies to benefit from globalization.

China using cheap labor , requiring foreign companies to local production , as well as key raw materials trade restrictions designed to develop the country's manufacturing base . As a result of China's rapid development as a key link in the supply chain , while critics of globalization claim that the United States and Europe, the manufacturing sector has been hollowed out .

The latest ruling before publishing the report , WTO has ruled that in 2012 , Chinese exports to the nine kinds of the more common commodities ( including bauxite and zinc ) limits violated trade rules . The award is considered the foundation rare case , especially since China has since complied with the 2012 ruling.

Yesterday 's ruling in October last year have been reported , but did not disclose the full text. Chinese Society of Rare Earths (Chinese Society of Rare Earths) , an official said dismay when they hear the verdict. She said: " I think the Chinese will certainly appeal WTO ruling because it is unfair . " The Rare Earth Society to help the government formulate policy .

But this ruling may favor Obama (Obama) government , which is facing trouble in the fight for congressional support on the issue of the United States and the European Union and 11 Pacific nations sign trade agreements. More WTO cases ( and won ) may help some members of Congress to support Obama.
