Beer darts is a fun, silly outdoor drinking game that is good to play at barbecues and tailgating parties. Players take turns aiming their darts and throwing them to try to puncture the opposing player's beer can. To play, you will need a case of beer (inexpensive beer is better since much of it will be spilled), six light-weight darts, two low-level chairs or stools, and a water resistant mat that is about 15 feet square.
Origin
The exact origin of beer darts remains unknown, but many believe that the game was first developed in Minneapolis in the 1990s. After several years, lovers of the game developed official rules for beer darts.
Set Up
Each game of beer darts involves two people. Place a water resistant mat between you and your opponent. Use masking tape to mark two lines in the mat, one on either side. The lines must be exactly 10 feet apart. The two players will sit on chairs or stools set behind the lines. Place an opened beer can (full) on each line. Each player will aim for the beer can on the opposite line. Each player holds three darts.
Rules
Each player takes turns throwing his darts at the beer can on the opposite side of the mat. If you puncture the beer can, your opponent must drink the beer in the can up to the hole (so that it no longer spills from the hole). If you simply "tick" the can, meaning that the dart hits the can but does not puncture it, your opponent must take one sip from the can. The first player to puncture the opposite can three times wins, but if there is no more beer left in the can for the opposing player to drink, the other player wins even if he has not punctured the can three times. If one of the players "dunks" the dart, meaning that the dart sticks in the top of the can where the mouth hole is, that player wins and the opposing player must drink the entire beer.
Safety
Beer darts can be dangerous if the players are not careful about where they throw the darts. It is generally safer to use lighter-weight darts. Players must only aim their darts at the opposing player's beer can. All players must be careful to keep their ankles and feet out of the way when the darts are being thrown. As with any drinking game, limit consumption and have a designated driver.

How to Play French Darts

If you've never heard of French darts before, you might be surprised to learn that it's not even played with actual darts. It's played with Frisbees instead, in a similar fashion to horseshoes, with two teams of two players working together to score the most points. The catch is that each player must hold a drink in one hand for the entire game to make it harder to balance. While French darts has gained its reputation as a beer drinking game, it can be just as fun to play with a non-alcoholic beverage.
1.Pick teams. There needs to be two teams with two players on each team. For larger gatherings, you can rotate players and switch teams to get everyone involved.
2.Set up the playing area. You'll need two poles or pipes that are approximately 4 feet, 8 inches high and thick enough to balance an empty bottle on top. Space the poles 40 to 50 feet apart, hammer them into the ground, and mark an 8-by-8-foot square around each pole with tape. Mark each pole about a foot above the ground, which will be the scratch line. Then balance an empty bottle on the top of each pole.
3.Fill up four cups, with the beverage of each player's choice. Players are not allowed to set down the cups during the course of the game.
4.Get in playing position. Each team must stand behind its pole. Players then take turns throwing the Frisbee at their opponents' pole, with the goal to knock down the bottle. The team whose bottle is being thrown at has two goals: catch the Frisbee or catch the falling bottle while still balancing their drink.
5.Keep score. Only the team that is throwing gets points. They get 3 points if the Frisbee and the bottle touch the ground, 2 points if the other team catches the Frisbee and the bottle falls, and 1 point if the other team catches the bottle and the Frisbee falls. They receive zero points if the opponents catch both items or if the Frisbee doesn't reach the scratch line on the pole.
6.Play for a given period of time, or until the score reaches the decided upon amount. Keep the cups full throughout the game.

Dodge Chrysler originally used the name "Dart" for a show car built for the company by the Italian automobile design firm Carrozzeria Ghia in 1956. The real Dart was originally meant to be an inexpensive full-size car, finally released in 1960. It was almost named the Zipp; fortunately, more tasteful heads prevailed. The Dodge Dart went through many changes before production ended in 1976. The 1967 to 1969 Darts underwent many changes from the previous generation of 1963 to 1966. The GT sport was introduced in 1968, which also saw the demise of the two-door Dart sedan.

Dodge added several safety features to the 1968 Darts, even as it made them generally faster and sportier. The side marker lights in the front and the rear were meant to make the car easier to see at night, as were front amber lenses. The fuel tank retention was reinforced, and padding adding to the lower part of the instrument panel. Optional foam head restraints were available, as well as optional front shoulder belts and rear seat belts. Window crank knobs were made of soft plastic, and the ashtray in the instrument panel became a breakaway.

The standard Darts in 1968 were the 270 hardtops and sedans. Dodge offered several body styles this year, including two two-door sedans, five two-door hardtops, four four-doors and three convertibles. Standard Darts got a new grille and round turn signal lights, as well as new taillights and round side marker lights. The 1986 models also included the first release of the GT Sport (GTS), a faster compact addition to the GT line. The GTS featured a divided grille, power bulges on the hood, two rear exhaust tips and either-side racing stripes or rear bumble-bee stripes. The GT and the GTS got new chrome side moldings. At the end of 1968, Dodge dropped the two-door sedan and replaced it with the Swinger for 1969.
