Chinese Molybdenum Prices - Jul. 27, 2018

Chinese molybdenum prices are in an upward trend this week. On the one hand, mines stopping work to undergo repair reduces the supply and makes sellers reluctant to trade; on the other hand, tender prices for ferro molybdenum rise, boosting market confidence. 

Citic Pacific Special Steel Holdings issued buy tenders for over 630 mt of ferromolybdenum in price of RMB 121,000 per tonne, rising by RMB 15,500 per tonne; Posco also issued buy tenders for over 150 mt of ferromolybdenum in price of USD 29.3 per tonne, rising by USD 2.6 per tonne.
