Combating illegal mining of rare earth

According to the Ministry website yesterday issued a notice, from August 15 onwards, the Ministry will launch a three-month special campaign against rare earth mining, production and circulation of illegal activities.

The main responsibilities of the special action of rare earth production of local government to promote sustained and healthy development of rare earth industry. Major tasks include checking the special action local governments enforce mandatory production plan, mining quota of total control, environmental verification, production safety, VAT invoices and other rules and regulations implementation; on the area of rare earth mining, smelting separation and trading enterprises (including the central business) individually for verification.
