China’s Tungsten Products Exports in April 2025

According to data compiled by Chinatungsten Online from the General Administration of Customs, in April 2025, China's exports of tungsten products (excluding carbide tools and tungsten halogen lamps) reached 1,383.17 tons, reflecting a year-on-year decrease of 25.81% and a month-on-month increase of 68.33%. The value of these exports was 421 million yuan, showing a year-on-year decrease of 12.34% and a month-on-month increase of 64.36%.

Due to export controls, no data is available for exports of tungsten trioxides and ammonium paratungstate. Additionally, exports of other tungsten oxides and hydroxides, carbides of tungsten, and tungsten powders have experienced significant declines.

In April 2025, China's exports included:

2 kilograms of other tungsten oxides and hydroxides, a year-on-year decrease of 100.00%, with no exports recorded the previous month;

18.11 tons of tungsten hexafluoride, a year-on-year decrease of 17.33% and a month-on-month decrease of 20.57%;

21.00 tons of sodium tungstate, with notable growth in exports both year-on-year and month-on-month;

390.82 tons of ammonium metatungstate, a year-on-year increase of 165.49% and a month-on-month increase of 133.28%;

8,000 kilograms of carbides of tungsten, a year-on-year decrease of 97.78%, with no exports recorded the previous month;

360.30 tons of ferro-tungsten, a year-on-year increase of 69.67% and a month-on-month increase of 21.35%;

52.90 tons of tungsten powders, a year-on-year decrease of 61.35% and a month-on-month decrease of 66.85%;

406.00 tons of unwrought tungsten, including bars and rods obtained simply by sintering, a year-on-year increase of 588.15% and a month-on-month increase of 336.17%;

39.87 tons of tungsten wire, a year-on-year increase of 39.87% and a month-on-month increase of 19.84%;

26.87 tons of tungsten waste and scrap, a year-on-year decrease of 62.15% and a month-on-month increase of 1,243.50%;

22.70 tons of bars and rods (excluding those obtained simply by sintering), profiles, plates, sheets, strips, and foils, a year-on-year decrease of 63.76% and a month-on-month increase of 23.57%.

Additionally, in April 2025, China's exports included:

132.65 tons of knives and cutting blades for machines or mechanical appliances, made of coated or plated metal carbides, a year-on-year increase of 28.03% and a month-on-month decrease of 12.45%;

178.76 tons of other knives and cutting blades for machines or mechanical appliances, made of metal carbides, a year-on-year increase of 1.57% and a month-on-month increase of 37.34%.
