Philips developed the most efficient "warm white" TLED lamp

Philips have created the world’s most efficient warm white TLED lamp. The prototype operates at 200 lumens-per-watt, is expected to reduce global energy consumption more than 7%.

Recently, Philips announced that they have created the world's most efficient "warm white" LED lamp. It will be expected to replace the fluorescent lamp in the office and factory floor, this new TLED (tube-style light emitting diode) may be reduced the world's total energy consumption more than 7%.

Philips claims that the new TLED lamp is warm white (color temperature of about 2700K), can reach 200 lumens-per-watt, and its cost is only a little bit higher than the striplight (100lm/W). Traditional incandescent can only reach 15lm/W.

On a global scale, architectural lighting accounted for 15%~19% of the total energy consumption, and a wide variety of lamp accounted for more than half of the lighting market. Philips's new lamp can put into the market in the summer of 2015, then it is expected to reduce global energy consumption more than 7%.
